The JCC is the Very Best Place to Teach Your Child How to Swim.
Whether your are looking for a safe, nurturing place for your pre-schooler to get comfortable in the water, or a team of instructors who can help your child take his/her swimming technique to the next level - or even if your youngster is interested in swimming as part of a Swim Team – the JCC is the place for you.
The JCC only employs swimming instructors who are certified by the American Red Cross to teach lessons, and who demonstrate the JCC’s commitment to safety first. In addition to our instructors, our pool is always staffed by an additional Red Cross certified lifeguard on deck, to provide safety during every moment the pool is open.
In teaching water skills, it is very important to us that each child have a positive and enjoyable experience in the water. As she/he learns critical water safety skills, we want your child to have fun while exercising, and become motivated to increase personal proficiency.
The JCC offers various types of lessons, including Private Lessons, Semi-Private Lessons, and Group Lessons. Please review our JCC Program Guide for a list of swim classes and schedules, and to select the program that is right for your child.
If you have any questions about our programs, please contact Alison Lurie, Children and Family Programs Director, at (203) 372-6567, ext. 128, or Alisonlurie@jccs.org.
