Kosher Hot Lunch & Transportation Program

Hosted by the JCC, this social and nutritional program serves an average of 22 seniors each day, and provides round trip transportation for 8-11 participants each day.

This program is a unique collaboration between several community agencies. The UJA-Federation Annual Campaign provides overall funding for the program. The Jewish Family Service coordinates participants, and arranges for volunteer delivery of meals to those unable to leave their home. The Salvation Army provides staff to serve the meals, and pays for a portion of the per-meal cost of the program. The Jewish Home for the Elderly cooks the meals, under Kosher supervision. The JCC transports the meals from the Jewish Home to the JCC, provides kitchen space for meal preparation, provides dining space for the program, and offers participants round trip transportation between their home and the JCC.

The JCC remains proud to provide this important program for our elderly community, and is thankful to our partners for helping us do so.
